INTERNATIONAL CAMP - 2012


Come and explores the wildlife of Northern TANZANIA, also known as "the prime game viewing country”.
Witness the largest spectacle of African wildlife in Tanzania.  Masai Giraffe, Thomson's Gazelle, Cheetah, Striped and Spotted Hyena and many more wild animals can be seen across the Savannah.
Tanzania provides the best opportunity to see  distinctive African animals like, African Lion, Cheetah, Eland and Kudu and birds such as Secretary Bird, African Fish-eagle, Lilac-breasted Roller, Superb Starling , Vulturine and Crested Guinefowl, Southern Ground Hornbill, Kori Bustard Red-billed Hornbill. Other attractions are Nile Crocodile and the largest land animal- the African Elephant.
Serengeti, Tanzania’s largest and most famous national park, also known as “Mecca for the wildlife lovers”, is truly a wildlife paradise. Experience the thrill of exploring ‘endless’ plains of Serengeti and witness the extensive herds of wildebeests and zebra. The largest bird- Common Ostrich can also be seen here.
Ngorongoro Crater is one of the best places to see the critically                                                                              endangered Black Rhinoceros, Serval, Wildebeest, African Elephant, Cape Buffalo and African Lion at close range.
Lake Manyara National Park, an IBA (Important Bird Area) and potential Ramsar site, is an alkaline lake which offers a view of thousands of pink-hued flamingos; one can also see Saddle-billed Stork, Blue-capped Cordon Bleu, Crested Guineafowl, Verreaux's Eagle Owl and Pangani Longclaw.  Blue Monkey and Kirk’s Dik-dik are often seen here.

What you are likely to see: The big five of Africa, The Little Five, flamingos, Masai giraffe, African wild dogs, Cheetah, Cerval, Hippotamus,  and many others
Transport:  land rover/land cruiser with pop-up roof for easy game viewing and photography6 participants per Vehicle.
  
Tentative Itinerary

Day 1:  Mumbai International Airport
Meet at Mumbai International Airport at 11.30 pm.

Day 2:  Mumbai – Nairobi – Kilimanjaro Airport– Ngorongoro Conservation Area
Arrive at the Kilimanjaro Airport at 10.00 am. Lunch at Arusha Cultural Heritage. After lunch proceed to Ngorongoro Farm House. 
Dinner and overnight at Ngorongoro Farm House. 

Day 3: Ngorongoro Crater
After early breakfast, depart with picnic lunch for a day long tour of the crater floor, Spend the day within the crater, in the evening you will return to the lodge.

Day 4: Ngorongoro Conservation Area – Serengeti National Park
After an Early Breakfast, depart for Serengeti National Park, early morning offers best time for birding.  Also one can see the big five and numerous plains game. Have an interesting drive with game viewing on the way. Arrive in time for lunch at the lodge. Afternoon game drive in Serengeti National Park the setting sun gives great opportunity for viewing predators.

Day 5: Serengeti National Park
Spend the entire day with picnic lunch enjoying game drives within the Great Serengeti.

Day 7: Serengeti National Park – Lake Manyara National Park
After early breakfast drive towards Lake Manyara, game viewing on the way.
Arrive in time for lunch at Lodge, afternoon game drive at Lake Manyara National Park, Manyara is home to many birds, elephant, wildebeest, baboon, Vervet monkey and numerous plains game.

Day 8: Lake Manyara National Park – Kilimanjaro Airport
After early breakfast drive to Lake Manyara National Park for morning game drive, leave for  Kilimanjaro airport from Lake Manyara with packed Lunch to reach Kilimanjaro airport on time, to catch connecting flight to Mumbai

Day 9: Mumbai  International Airport
Reach Mumbai early morning
